About the position
The Digital Tools Technician at AvaDent is responsible for preparing and modifying digital files for the design of dental prosthetics. This role involves working with 3D models, CNC programming, and 3D printing, while also engaging in continuous learning to keep up with technological advancements in the dental industry.
Responsibilities
- Perform clean-up on impression, bite, and other record scan data to prepare files for design.
- Manipulate mesh points and engage in 3D modeling for various modifications.
- Program and modify CNC mill files as needed.
- Prepare 3D models for printing using various printing software.
- Engage in continuous learning and training on the latest technology in the industry.
- Utilize scanning technology to obtain 3D scans when required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Computer literacy is essential.
- Ability to work in a 3-Dimensional (3D) environment.
- Prior experience in a manufacturing technician role or equivalent.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with 3D modeling and 3D printing.
- Familiarity with XML or CNC programming.
