About the position

The Digital Marketing Analytics Manager at Grocery Outlet will be instrumental in shaping the company's marketing strategies through comprehensive data analysis and insights. This role is designed for a high-performing marketing analyst or data analyst who possesses a robust foundation in digital analytics and customer segmentation. The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting a wide array of marketing, customer, and market data to inform strategic marketing decisions, drive business outcomes, and measure the effectiveness of various marketing initiatives. In this position, the Digital Marketing Analytics Manager will utilize digital analytics tools such as Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Branch, and AppsFlyer to gather and analyze data across multiple platforms. The role involves generating regular reports on marketing campaign performance and customer behavior, identifying trends and patterns in customer data, and developing A/B testing frameworks to optimize app features and marketing campaigns. The ability to translate complex data findings into understandable and actionable marketing strategies is crucial. Additionally, the manager will develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure marketing effectiveness and return on investment (ROI). The role also encompasses media analytics, where the manager will utilize Media Mix Modeling to forecast marketing trends and consumer behavior, as well as create customer segmentation models to tailor marketing strategies to different audience segments. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing and is expected to contribute significantly to the overall marketing strategy and execution at Grocery Outlet.

Responsibilities

  • Collect and analyze data across digital marketing analytics platforms to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Generate regular reports on marketing campaign performance and customer behavior.
  • Identify trends and patterns in customer data, including app usage data, to inform marketing strategies.
  • Develop and implement A/B testing frameworks to optimize app features and marketing campaigns.
  • Translate complex data findings into understandable and actionable marketing campaigns.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure marketing effectiveness and ROI.
  • Utilize Media Mix Modeling to forecast marketing trends and consumer behavior.
  • Create customer segmentation models to tailor marketing strategies to different audience segments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years proven experience as a Marketing Analytics Manager or Data Analyst within the retail or grocery sector preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven experience in digital analytics tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics).
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Working knowledge of marketing automation platforms (e.g., Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot).
  • Familiarity with media measurement tools (e.g., Branch, AppsFlyer, Optimine).
  • Understanding of basic statistical modeling techniques.
  • Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Experience in statistical analysis and the use of statistical packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, APT-Mastercard Test & Learn).
  • Familiarity with customer segmentation, predictive modeling, and market research techniques.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
