About the position

The Digital Marketing and Events Management Specialist will be responsible for planning and executing marketing strategies to promote events and engage target audiences. This role involves managing the digital presence of the Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) and St. Joseph Sports Commission (SJSC) across various platforms, ensuring effective communication and branding.

Responsibilities

  • Represent and manage the CVB and SJSC's digital presence across social media platforms and websites, including content creation.
  • Promote events and attractions through photography, videography, and graphic design.
  • Manage electronic ticketing and electronic programs of the CVB and SJSC.
  • Collaborate internally among communications, sales, and sports staff to maintain consistent branding and messaging.
  • Analyze digital metrics to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and contribute to strategies designed to maximize reach and impact.
  • Design and layout printed publications for CVB and SJSC, including graphic design of advertising, invitations, logos, and brand management for print projects.
  • Assist with crafting proposals, event bids, and presentations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in marketing, communications, graphic design, journalism, sports marketing or related fields.
  • Proven experience in digital marketing and content creation and graphic design.
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends with event management.
  • Proficiency with platforms such as Meta, WordPress, and Google Analytics, as well as familiarity with editing software in the Adobe Creative Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous experience in tourism, sports marketing or event management is a plus.
