About the position

The Digital Marketing and Social Media Manager at Reading Coffee Company is responsible for overseeing the company's digital presence and enhancing brand visibility through strategic marketing initiatives. This part-time role involves managing social media channels, creating engaging content, optimizing the website for SEO, and analyzing campaign performance to drive customer engagement and sales.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing campaigns to promote the cafe and roastery.
  • Manage and grow all social media channels by creating engaging content that resonates with the target audience.
  • Collaborate with the team to design and schedule posts, videos, blogs, and email newsletters.
  • Oversee website management and updates, optimizing for SEO and user experience.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of digital campaigns, providing regular reports on key metrics.
  • Create and manage email marketing campaigns to engage customers and attract new clientele.
  • Work closely with the cafe and roastery team to align digital efforts with in-store events and product launches.
  • Collaborate with the Events Director to promote Reading Coffee events both on and off site.
  • Build relationships with influencers and partners to expand the brand's online footprint.
  • Manage the digital marketing budget to ensure cost-effective results.

Requirements

  • Proven experience (1-3 years) in digital marketing or social media management, preferably in the food and beverage or retail sectors.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing tools, social media platforms, SEO/SEM strategies, and analytics software.
  • Excellent communication, writing, and content creation skills.
  • Ability to think strategically while executing day-to-day tasks.
  • Experience with email marketing platforms, CRM tools, and website management (WordPress, Shopify, or similar).
  • Passion for coffee and community engagement.
