About the position

The U.S. Pharmacopeial Convention (USP) is seeking a Digital Marketing & Communications Manager for the Pharma sector. This role is pivotal in developing and managing digital marketing plans and activities that align with the strategic goals of the Region & Program Operations and the broader organizational objectives of USP. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and executing a comprehensive digital marketing strategy aimed at the Pharma Industry, focusing on maximizing the impact of USP's portfolio of documentary standards, reference standards, and physical materials. This position is essential for increasing program and product awareness, enhancing customer engagement, and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) that drive growth. In this non-supervisory role, the incumbent will oversee the development of creative content and assets, including videos, white papers, graphics, and copy, for various digital marketing channels such as social media, email, and the web. Collaboration with other digital marketing and global communications staff is crucial to ensure cohesive messaging and effective campaign execution. The position also involves analyzing market trends and leveraging data insights to refine marketing strategies and improve campaign performance. Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute digital marketing plans and communication strategies for the USP Pharma portfolio.
  • Plan and manage the day-to-day production of digital marketing content, copy, and creatives.
  • Analyze and monitor business, market, and digital marketing trends to inform campaign priorities.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to execute digital marketing campaigns.
  • Manage relationships with digital marketing agencies, shaping goals and objectives according to deliverables and budgets.
  • Leverage data and insights to enhance campaign performance and inform future marketing efforts.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, life sciences, or a related field.
  • At least five years of hands-on experience in marketing/digital marketing within the pharma, life sciences, or healthcare industry.
  • At least two years of experience in a product/brand marketing role or customer-facing role in the Pharma or healthcare industry.
  • At least two years of experience leading and managing teams in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms, email marketing, blogs, display advertising, and SEO/SEM.

Nice-to-haves

  • A master's degree in business administration or a certificate in digital marketing.
  • At least eight years of experience in the life sciences or pharmaceutical industry, with a mix of commercial and technical roles.
  • Experience in a sales or customer-facing role in the pharma or healthcare industry.
  • Knowledge of Tableau, Salesforce Pardot, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with a passion for digital marketing.
