About the position

The Digital Marketing Senior Specialist at Cox Automotive is responsible for the daily management of digital advertising campaigns across various platforms including Facebook, DV360, YouTube, and Xandr. This role involves optimizing campaigns to ensure they meet performance targets, assisting with the retrieval and implementation of creative assets, troubleshooting issues, managing budgets, and maintaining campaign performance against key performance indicators (KPIs). The specialist will work closely with Client Services to uphold internal and external benchmarks, ensuring that revenue is maximized through timely delivery, quality execution, and efficient media spending. In addition to campaign management, the specialist will interact directly with clients, vendors, and external teams to address troubleshooting needs, provide information on new products and offerings, discuss platform changes, and share insights on industry trends and process improvements. The role requires a proactive approach to managing relationships and communication with various stakeholders, including agencies, advertisers, and sales teams. The position also entails providing performance reporting for clients, handling ad hoc reporting requests, analyzing delivery metrics, and offering insights to leadership. The specialist will represent Cox Automotive Marketing in client meetings, whether in-person or remote, and maintain strong working relationships with internal teams such as Client Services, Product, Analytics, and Ad Ops, keeping them informed of any issues that may impact the business. Overall, this role is crucial for ensuring the success of digital marketing initiatives and requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills, and strong communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily campaign management of digital advertising for Cox Automotive related properties and clients, including optimization, creative asset retrieval, implementation, troubleshooting, budget management, and maintaining campaign performance against target KPIs.
  • Interact daily with internal and external teams, including agencies, advertisers, sales, and vendors, regarding creative assets, trafficking, optimization, reporting, and process issues.
  • Provide performance reporting for clients, handle ad hoc reporting requests, analyze delivery, and provide insights to leadership.
  • Represent Cox Automotive Marketing in client meetings, either in-person or remote.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Client Services, Product, Analytics, and Ad Ops teams, keeping them informed of any issues or anomalies that impact the larger business.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 4 years of experience in a related field, or a combination of education and experience such as a master's degree with 2 years of experience, a Ph.D. with up to 1 year of experience, or 8 years of experience in a related field.
  • Understanding of the digital advertising technology landscape and media buying, with experience interacting with leading players and platforms.
  • Experience in online media buying/ad trafficking using various ad platforms (e.g., Facebook, Google DV360, YouTube, Xandr).
  • Familiarity with online ad serving concepts, metrics, and media types such as social, display, and video.
  • Proven experience working directly with clients and participating in client visits with sales teams.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with various forms of online creative formats (HTML, JAVA, rich media, etc.).
  • Experience related to backend ad server framework and algorithms.
  • Knowledge of bid management environments such as programmatic buying and bid management.
  • Proven expertise in quality assurance and third-party platform troubleshooting processes.
  • Fluency in mathematical concepts relevant to media planning and purchasing.
  • Proven ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written documentation to all levels within the organization.
  • Advanced understanding of ad tags, pixel creation, and implementation.
  • Proven ability to identify and analyze trends in data and communicate results to clients.
  • Excellent project management and customer service skills.
