Maranatha Christian Academy (MCA) is seeking a dynamic and versatile Digital Marketing & Communications Specialist to join our team in Brooklyn Park, MN. This full-time position is ideal for a creative and organized individual who is passionate about marketing and communications and eager to contribute to the success of our admissions, development, and community relations teams. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our brand presence and engagement through various digital platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for managing our social media platforms, executing SEO strategies, crafting engaging email newsletters, and producing high-quality videography and photography content. You will also be involved in content writing, website content management, and providing administrative and event support. Your creativity and organizational skills will be essential in developing and executing social media strategies that enhance our brand presence and engagement across various platforms. Additionally, you will implement SEO best practices to improve our website visibility and search rankings, working closely with a digital advertising firm on campaigns to generate awareness and admissions leads. You will design and distribute engaging email newsletters, ensuring that the content is relevant and timely. Your role will also include producing compelling videography and photography content for marketing campaigns and promotional materials, coordinating with content writers to create engaging content for blogs, social media, and website pages, and updating and maintaining website content to align with our marketing goals. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will also provide logistical and promotional support for community events aimed at retention, development, and alumni efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute social media strategies to enhance brand presence and engagement across various platforms.
  • Implement SEO best practices to improve website visibility and search rankings.
  • Work with a digital advertising firm on advertising campaigns to generate awareness and admissions leads.
  • Design and distribute engaging email newsletters to our audiences, ensuring content is relevant and timely.
  • Produce compelling videography and photography content for marketing campaigns and promotional materials.
  • Coordinate with content writers to create content for various channels, including blogs, social media, and website pages.
  • Update and maintain website content to ensure it is current and aligned with marketing goals.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, correspondence, and data entry.
  • Provide logistical and promotional support for events that engage our community for retention, development, and alumni efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field such as online communications, business, marketing, or English.
  • Proven experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
  • Experience with SEO strategies and tools.
  • Proficiency in videography and photography, including editing skills.
  • Excellent writing and editing skills.
  • Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and email marketing software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
