About the position

Smith & Wesson is seeking a Digital Marketing Communications Specialist to join our Brand Marketing team. This role is pivotal in managing our website and strategizing brand marketing and e-commerce initiatives across email and SMS channels. The successful candidate will help build a sustainable infrastructure for our digital marketing practices, ensuring that our online presence is robust and effective. The position is based in our Maryville, TN office and is 100% in-office/non-remote, reporting directly to the Digital Marketing Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that web content is up-to-date, accurate, and aligned with our marketing initiatives and overall objectives. You will leverage insights from our Analytics team and key metrics from Google Analytics to implement strategies that enhance user experience and customer journeys. Additionally, you will write, edit, and implement blog articles that reflect current industry trends, ensuring our content remains relevant and engaging. The Digital Marketing Communications Specialist will also strategize brand marketing and e-commerce initiatives across our email and SMS platforms. This includes ideating, creating, and scheduling content, campaigns, automations, and customer journeys. You will implement segmentation strategies to deliver personalized messages and monitor key campaign metrics to optimize performance. A/B testing will be a critical part of your role to improve campaign effectiveness, and you will ensure compliance with FCC, GDPR, and CAN-SPAM regulations in all communications.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the company website, ensuring content is up-to-date and aligned with marketing objectives.
  • Utilize insights from the Analytics team and Google Analytics to enhance user experience.
  • Write, edit, and implement blog articles that reflect industry trends.
  • Strategize brand marketing and e-commerce initiatives across email and SMS channels.
  • Create and schedule content, campaigns, automations, and customer journeys for email and SMS.
  • Implement segmentation strategies for personalized messaging.
  • Monitor key campaign metrics to optimize performance.
  • Conduct A/B testing to improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with FCC, GDPR, and CAN-SPAM regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, marketing communication, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in website management and email & SMS marketing.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics and web content management.
  • Experience with email and SMS marketing software.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and copywriting.
  • Familiarity with basic UI/UX design principles.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred but not required.
  • Basic HTML knowledge is preferred but not required.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a track record of creating consumer content.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with strong organizational skills.
