About the position

The Digital Marketing Coordinator at Kearny Bank is responsible for supporting the bank's digital marketing initiatives. This role involves a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing the bank's online presence and brand awareness. The coordinator will develop email marketing communications, update website content, and create and manage content across all social media platforms. The goal is to grow the audience and build a strong brand image that aligns with the bank's business strategies and direction. In this position, the coordinator will coordinate the bank's day-to-day digital marketing activities, ensuring that projects are completed in a timely manner while maintaining a consistent and positive brand image. This includes developing and scheduling email messages and monthly newsletters targeted at both B2C and B2B audiences, utilizing the appropriate brand voice and visuals. The coordinator will also be responsible for updating website content through a dedicated content management dashboard and coordinating regular blog postings on various topics. This will involve working with both internal and external subject matter experts to create engaging content and collaborating with the marketing team and agency resources to build the blog audience. Additionally, the Digital Marketing Coordinator will assist in managing the bank's social media presence by monitoring audience reactions, comments, and messages across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and any emerging channels. The role also includes executing targeted communications to client audiences through the bank's digital messaging platform. It is essential for the coordinator to maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and all other regulatory, security, and bank policies while performing their duties.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the bank's day-to-day digital marketing activities, ensuring projects are completed in a timely manner and reflect a consistent, positive brand image in alignment with business strategies and direction.
  • Develop and schedule email messages and monthly email newsletters for B2C and B2B audiences using appropriate brand voice and visuals.
  • Update website content using our dedicated content management dashboard.
  • Coordinate regular blog postings on a variety of topics, working with internal and external subject matter experts to develop content, and collaborating with marketing team and agency resources to build blog audience.
  • Assist in social media management including monitoring audience reactions, comments, and messages across platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and any other emerging channels.
  • Execute targeted communications to client audiences through our digital messaging platform.
  • Maintain knowledge of and ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act and all other regulatory, security and bank policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, communications, marketing, advertising or related discipline preferred, or comparable work experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience preferred.
  • A strong understanding of marketing principles and knowledge of the ever-evolving digital marketing landscape.
  • Initiative to learn about the banking industry.
  • Self-starter with ability to multitask and manage competing priorities.
  • Professional written/verbal communication skills including editing and crafting content for the digital space required.
  • MS Office proficiency required.
