The Digital Marketing Director position is a pivotal role responsible for driving digital revenue sales goals and fostering the development of the local advertising sales team within the APG Western Region, based in Washington State. This position entails managing a variety of digital marketing solutions and services tailored for the region, while also focusing on the daily acquisition of new business opportunities. The digital leader will play a crucial role in coaching, modeling, and mentoring Multimedia Account Executives (MMAEs) across various markets to optimize revenue opportunities associated with digital services. These services include Website Display, Programmatic Advertising, Search Engine Marketing (SEM/PPC), Targeted Email, Video, Connected TV (CTV-OTT), Social Media, E-Newsletters, and other innovative solutions that emerge in the digital landscape. The ideal candidate for this role will possess a robust understanding of contemporary digital marketing tools and strategies, enabling them to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from conception through to execution. They will be expected to brainstorm and implement new and creative growth strategies while remaining attuned to emerging opportunities within the digital advertising sector. A strong work ethic and a solid grasp of Google Suites for data collection are essential for success in this position. The primary office location for this role is flexible, depending on the current market presence of the candidate. This position operates under a shared reporting structure, reporting to both the Regional President and the VP of Digital. The job functions include managing digital advertising strategy from business, sales, and technical perspectives, assisting in budget development and projections for advertising, and creating actionable plans to enhance digital revenue while motivating staff towards these goals. Additionally, the role involves measuring the effectiveness of various marketing campaigns, necessitating a strong understanding of Google Tag Manager and Analytics. The Digital Marketing Director will also be required to spend a minimum of 50% of their time in the field prospecting and generating new digital business, approximately 40% of their time collaborating with MMAEs to train staff and develop optimal solutions for local businesses, and the remaining time ensuring that accounts receive exceptional customer service, including monitoring campaign metrics and conducting regular check-ins. As a member of the APG Digital Management Team, this position will require regular participation in group calls and collaborative projects.
