About the position

The Digital Marketing Director at USL Spokane is responsible for leading the marketing department and driving the club's brand, fan engagement, and revenue growth through innovative digital strategies. This role involves overseeing the club's digital presence, managing vendor relationships, and collaborating with various internal departments to ensure alignment with the club's objectives. The position requires a creative and data-driven approach to enhance brand awareness and foster strong connections with fans and the community.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, oversee, and assess the club's comprehensive digital marketing strategy.
  • Stay updated on trends in digital marketing, social media, and sports entertainment.
  • Develop a content calendar that aligns with match schedules and promotions.
  • Oversee the creation of multimedia content for websites, apps, and social media channels.
  • Ensure consistency in tone, voice, and messaging across platforms.
  • Manage day-to-day execution of organic social media across all platforms.
  • Create digital experiences to grow and engage the club's fanbase.
  • Develop and execute targeted advertising campaigns to drive ticket sales and merchandise purchases.
  • Analyze campaign performance using KPIs such as engagement and revenue impact.
  • Utilize data analytics tools to monitor the effectiveness of digital campaigns.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the marketing team, including Social Media and Digital Media staff.
  • Work with vendors for the development of creative content for advertising assets.
  • Oversee live digital coverage during home games and serve as the primary point of contact for media inquiries.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, public relations, digital media or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in digital marketing, ideally in the sports, entertainment or media sectors.
  • Proven track record of managing successful digital campaigns and leading teams.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Ability to pass comprehensive background check including a motor vehicle report.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in graphic design.
  • Knowledge of the Spokane market and community engagement strategies.
