About the position

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Digital Marketing Manager to join the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Training and Certification Global Marketing team. This role is pivotal in developing and activating digital campaigns aimed at increasing awareness and engagement with our training and certification services and solutions. As part of the AWS Training and Certification Digital Marketing team, you will manage a business-specific Marketo instance, overseeing its data integration, process definition, troubleshooting, campaign automation, data integrity, and platform enablement. In this position, you will collaborate with various functional teams within AWS and Training and Certification, including training delivery, business development, central marketing automation, and product marketing. You will take ownership of the email marketing strategy and execution of Marketo programs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in Marketo, a deep understanding of the Marketo data model, and B2B/B2I Marketing Operations experience focused on driving business results. Your role will involve implementing and championing best practices and innovative ideas, as well as testing and executing digital campaigns based on performance metrics. We are looking for someone who has a creative and analytical mindset, capable of managing, implementing, and executing digital campaigns with a focus on building, launching, and analyzing email campaigns and landing environments. The successful candidate will be passionate about owning programs, testing and learning, and driving conversions to meet goals. While there is a strong preference for this role to be based in Seattle, WA, other locations such as Portland, OR; Denver, CO; Chicago, IL; Boston, MA; Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Austin, TX; Arlington, VA; New York, NY; San Diego, CA; or Los Angeles, CA are also considered.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Digital Marketing Point of Contact and power user of a business line specific Marketo environment, managing its integration with Salesforce and optimizing system configuration and maintenance.
  • Act as a strategic partner to Global Campaign Leads, Events Marketing, Product Marketing, and other internal stakeholders to create high-quality digital experiences aligned with evolving strategies, including email and landing page optimization, form processing, A/B testing, and customer engagement recommendations.
  • Implement targeting and customer segmentation for digital campaigns, manage a library of assets, and uphold data accuracy and hygiene to support ongoing campaign and reporting initiatives.
  • Ensure marketing and sales data synchronization between systems, including field mapping maintenance, campaign configuration, and reporting enablement.
  • Maintain system components to support lead management processes within Marketo and Salesforce, including customer segmentation, funnel telemetry, lead assignment, scoring, nurturing, email deliverability, and compliance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
  • Support the localization process for campaigns, including Localization and Activation for international geographies.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience.
  • 5+ years' experience in digital marketing or multi-channel digital campaign development with a strong focus on email marketing and automation.
  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, economics, business, engineering, or a relevant field of study.

Nice-to-haves

  • Proven track record of creating and executing integrated marketing campaigns using tactics such as digital advertising, lead nurture programs, live events, webinars, and social media.
  • Experience with Marketing Automation Platforms, preferably Marketo, with a Marketo Certified Expert certification.
  • Hands-on experience building, launching, and reporting on campaigns using Marketo, Salesforce.com, Splashthat, and Qualtrics.
  • Experience with B2B marketing, specifically in high-tech products/services.
  • Ability to work independently and autonomously.
  • Solid quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, comfortable with data analysis and using data to make recommendations and drive decisions.
  • Experience in building test and learn plans that continuously improve program engagement.
  • Passion for continual learning and expanding hands-on technical skills, with demonstrable experience in driving operational efficiency.
  • Highly collaborative with experience working cross-functionally and gathering requirements across business teams.
