About the position

The Digital Marketing Manager - Email/CRM + Website/SEO at Lightship will be responsible for enhancing the brand and customer experience through various digital channels, including CRM, email, and website content. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in digital marketing, particularly in customer acquisition, engagement, and brand awareness, to support the company's mission of promoting all-electric recreational vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Build, plan, implement and report on a comprehensive digital marketing strategy across channels, including email/CRM marketing, website content, and SEO.
  • Manage email and lifecycle marketing strategy and execution, including one-time, recurring, automated, and dynamic content-driven campaigns across customer segments.
  • Analyze and report on performance of email marketing channels and journeys, making recommendations based on performance data.
  • Manage segmentation strategy, incorporating insights and creativity to explore and test new segments.
  • Assist with the continued evolution and development of the CRM platform (Hubspot).
  • Manage the customer digital experience on lightshiprv.com, focusing on long-form blog content.
  • Guide on-page and technical SEO implementation across all owned channels.
  • Create measurement tracking criteria and provide monthly and ad hoc reporting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in customer-first digital marketing, with experience in lifecycle, email automation, customer engagement and content creation.
  • Deep knowledge about customer segmentation, A/B testing best practices, list management, deliverability, GDPR and CAN-SPAM laws.
  • Experience editing and managing content through WordPress or similar CMS, and using SEO tools including Google Analytics/Looker, Search Console, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.
  • Strong writing skills with experience in creating long and short form content to brand guidelines.
  • Highly analytical, data-driven problem solver with project management skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working at a D2C / B2C brand, preferably in the outdoor, travel, EV, RV, or luxury consumer goods industries.
  • Strong customer-first mindset, driven by curiosity.
  • Startup experience, and/or excitement to join a startup.
  • Knowledge of or interest in paid media or performance marketing.
