About the position

The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing the entire digital footprint of the Moody Center, which includes overseeing social media, email marketing, the website, the app, and other digital assets. This role is crucial in developing high-impact advertising and content strategies across various digital platforms, with a focus on conceptualizing and curating content that will enhance the Moody Center's database and organic reach. The manager will also supervise the full-time Marketing Coordinator, ensuring that all marketing efforts align with the center's goals and objectives. In this position, the Digital Marketing Manager will oversee the email marketing strategy and execution using Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This includes developing and integrating marketing plans tailored to target audiences to increase awareness and drive ticket and product sales. The manager will be responsible for building and maintaining email templates and automating marketing journeys to optimize customer engagement and acquisition strategies. Additionally, the role involves managing the content and scheduling calendar for organic social media channels and email marketing, supporting various events and promotional activities. Collaboration is key in this role, as the manager will work closely with the Senior Manager of Marketing to ensure that all contractual obligations for venue sponsors are met while also exploring creative promotional opportunities. Regular analysis of digital platforms and tracking methods will be essential, as the manager will need to report on growth and engagement metrics. The role also requires the development and management of the brand voice across all digital platforms, engaging with audiences in real-time during significant events. The Digital Marketing Manager will also be responsible for managing the venue's web content management system (CMS), ensuring that the website is updated with relevant information, including event announcements and promotional content. Researching new trends and technologies in digital marketing will be necessary to keep the Moody Center at the forefront of the industry. The manager will also ensure synergy between the Moody Center and the University of Texas Athletics, coordinating social media, web, and email efforts to create cross-promotional opportunities. Capturing engaging content throughout the year and collaborating with the marketing team to improve campaign results will also be part of the role. On-site representation for designated events will be required, along with managing the Marketing Coordinator and collaborating with interns.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-impact advertising and content strategies on digital platforms.
  • Oversee email marketing strategy and execution via Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Build and maintain email templates and automate marketing journeys via Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Optimize growth marketing and customer acquisition strategies using metrics such as conversion optimization, A/B test, attribution, segmentation and experimentation.
  • Manage and execute the content and scheduling calendar for organic venue social media channels and email marketing.
  • Collaborate with Sr. Manager of Marketing to meet contractual needs for venue sponsors and ideate creative promotions.
  • Provide analysis of all venue digital platforms and tracking methods, reporting regularly on growth.
  • Develop, own, and manage the brand voice across all digital platforms.
  • Develop relationships with local influencers.
  • Manage and lead the development of venue web CMS, including updating specialty pages and announcing events.
  • Research new ways to amplify venue social, email, web, and app strategies.
  • Ensure synergy between Moody Center and University of Texas Athletics for social media, web, and email.
  • Capture engaging content throughout the calendar year and create content for social platforms.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to improve campaign results as needed.
  • Serve as on-site marketing department representative for designated events.
  • Manage Marketing Coordinator and collaborate with Marketing intern(s).
  • Assist with other duties related to the marketing department and requests by leadership team.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years' experience in digital and email marketing.
  • Experience working in music venues of similar capacity (15,000) preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing or an equivalent combination of education and experience in the field.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Working knowledge of digital platforms: Asana, Sprout Social, and WordPress.
  • Experience with Google AdWords and SEO.
  • Experience using metrics such as conversion optimization, A/B test, attribution, segmentation and experimentation.
  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work independently and be resourceful.
  • Proven ability to think strategically with a willingness to roll up sleeves and execute on projects.
