About the position

The Digital Marketing Manager at Penguin Teen is responsible for overseeing the influencer program and creating engaging content for social media platforms. This role involves managing relationships with influencers, developing marketing strategies, and collaborating with various teams to promote YA books effectively. The position is hybrid, requiring some in-office presence in New York City.

Responsibilities

• Manage Penguin Teen's network of influencers, content creators, and book advocates.
• Lead influencer communications for title and group campaigns, including newsletters and budget negotiations.
• Generate campaign recaps and analytics for various teams.
• Monitor title sentiment and emerging trends within creator communities.
• Conceptualize and develop in-person influencer events and activations.
• Ensure timely delivery of advance reading materials and promotional pieces to influencers.
• Liaise with Legal and Finance departments on influencer best practices and contracts.
• Contribute to the ideation and creation of original content for social media channels.
• Participate in seasonal brainstorming and develop digital marketing plans for titles.
• Provide early feedback on potential book acquisitions and forthcoming titles.
• Collaborate with the marketing design team to develop digital/social assets.

Requirements

• 2-3 years' experience with influencer marketing campaigns and best practices.
• Effective communication skills and strong time management abilities.
• Fluent knowledge of social media platforms including TikTok and YouTube.
• A keen sense of digital and offline trends in the YA book space and pop culture.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Passion for YA books.
