About the position

The Digital Marketing Manager at the Community College of Allegheny County is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing digital marketing content to enhance the college's online presence. This role involves managing social media channels, creating engaging content, and overseeing digital campaigns while ensuring brand integrity. The manager also plays a crucial role in crisis communication and provides training to internal staff on digital marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the college's various social media channels, including planning content and facilitating direct communications with the audience.
  • Oversee digital content development, seeking out new content streams and curating useful articles and news stories.
  • Develop and schedule digital and social media campaigns in conjunction with collegewide promotional efforts.
  • Serve as the 'voice' of CCAC on social media, engaging in online dialogue and responding to queries.
  • Manage social media analytics and make adjustments to better engage the target audience.
  • Produce promotional videos, including storyboarding, scripting, filming, and editing.
  • Assist in commercial filming projects and campaign photo shoots.
  • Serve as the in-house photographer for on-campus events and other college functions.
  • Assist with the dissemination of emergency and/or crisis communications, operating at the highest level of confidentiality.
  • Advise and provide professional digital marketing training to internal constituents.
  • Supervise work-study students and interns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, graphic/digital design or related field.
  • Minimum four years' experience in digital marketing tactics and strategy.
  • Prior experience with video production, social media, and graphic design required.
  • Photography experience is a plus.
