About the position

The SEO Digital Marketing Manager at RSM will lead the development and execution of strategic SEO initiatives, with a forward-thinking approach. This role is focused on driving organic growth, improving search engine visibility, and anticipating the impact of AI on SEO strategies. The successful candidate will aim to significantly increase organic traffic, enhance user engagement, and improve conversion rates. Responsibilities include establishing an end-to-end SEO process, collaborating with the marketing team for keyword selection and content optimization, and ensuring top-tier performance of content. In this position, you will build out short and long-term SEO strategies that move the needle for RSM. You will serve as an internal SEO consultant to key stakeholders including Demand Generation, Enterprise Marketing teams, Industry, Econ, Brand, and Talent. Your role will involve developing and implementing comprehensive keyword strategies to improve organic search performance, optimizing on-page elements such as meta tags, headlines, and content structure to enhance search engine visibility, and conducting keyword research to develop content plans that align with business goals and audience needs. You will also establish and roll out a standardized SEO process from keyword selection through content optimization to execution. This includes working closely with internal partners for keyword selection and strategy alignment, collaborating with the web team to ensure content is optimized for search engine performance and accessibility, and monitoring and refining the SEO process to ensure it aligns with evolving best practices and business objectives. Additionally, you will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on SEO performance metrics, providing actionable insights to improve content and marketing strategies. As a team manager and career advisor, you will establish an environment of trust, teamwork, development, empowerment, and entrepreneurship through quality communication, relationship development, and problem-solving. You will set a high standard for team behavior and performance, identify and create opportunities for skill development across the team, and provide career development feedback to digital marketing peer leaders for in-country direct reports to support holistic growth. Continuous monitoring and research of the latest SEO industry trends, best practices, and algorithm updates will be essential, as well as adapting and implementing changes in SEO strategies based on industry shifts and AI developments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of strategic SEO initiatives.
  • Establish an end-to-end SEO process from keyword selection through content optimization to execution.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team for keyword selection and content optimization.
  • Optimize on-page elements such as meta tags, headlines, and content structure to enhance search engine visibility.
  • Conduct keyword research and develop content plans that align with business goals and audience needs.
  • Partner with the Demand Generation team to integrate SEO best practices into content creation and marketing campaigns.
  • Analyze and report on SEO performance metrics, providing actionable insights to improve content and marketing strategies.
  • Monitor and refine the SEO process to ensure it aligns with evolving best practices and business objectives.
  • Continuously monitor and research the latest SEO industry trends, best practices, and algorithm updates.
  • Educate and inform the team on emerging SEO trends and AI-driven tools and techniques as they relate to SEO.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (required).
  • 8+ years of experience in SEO (technical & strategic) on a B2B marketing team or agency (Required).
  • Proficiency in SEO tools such as SEMrush, Moz, Ahrefs, BrightEdge, Screaming Frog and other marketplace SEO tools (Required).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail (required).
  • Strong project management skills (required).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (required).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (required).
  • In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms and ranking methods (required).
  • Ability to measure and monitor SEO performance effectively (required).
  • Balance of technical expertise and business acumen (required).
  • Proven capability to mentor and develop team members, enhancing their skills and career growth (required).
  • Ability to collaborate and strategize with senior level internal and external stakeholders (Required).

Nice-to-haves

  • Understanding of both SEO and SEM strategies and their integration (preferred).
  • Familiarity with common website architectures and backend requirements for SEO (preferred).
  • Knowledge of Adobe Analytics and/or Google Analytics and Google Search Console (Preferred).
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership role, demonstrating the ability to mentor and develop team members (preferred).
