About the position

The Cleveland Jewish Publication Company (CJPC) is seeking a dynamic, creative and focused Digital Marketing Manager to join our award-winning multimedia team. The CJPC is the publisher of the Cleveland Jewish News, Columbus Jewish News, Akron Jewish News, and six community lifestyle magazines including Jstyle, Jstyle Weddings, Bar•Bat Mitzvah, Canvas, Celebrations, and SOURCE. Additionally, we have an events division, consulting division, and produce custom publications for community and civic organizations, institutions, businesses, local suburbs, and others. Our ideal candidate will have proven experience reaching existing and new consumers through web, social media, email marketing, and other online channels to grow the company's online presence via its websites, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and other applicable channels. Our desired Digital Marketing Manager is sophisticated in this space and demonstrates a deep level of understanding of these platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement the company's digital strategic plan to advance the company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, content consumption and growth
  • Manage content flow, syndication, training and navigation for cjn.org, columbusjewishnews.com, akronjewishnews.com, jstylemagazine.com and canvascle.com
  • Oversee accounts on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and other social media channels
  • Monitor all online and social media channels for inappropriate postings, behavior and patterns
  • Manage e-newsletter lists and campaigns through Constant Contact
  • Collaborate with the Events Manager and Sales and Marketing Manager to develop and manage the online and social marketing of CJPC events
  • Collaborate in developing, communicating and executing online marketing plans for each of the CJPC products and brands
  • Collaborate with the Vice President of Sales and sales team to identify and initiate ways to grow revenue
  • Protect and grow the company's online assets
  • Design and create digital products, such as e-newsletters
  • Assist in maintaining the Samuel H. Miller 'Keeping our Words Alive' Digital Archive of the Cleveland Jewish News and e-edition of respective print publications
  • Collaborate with internal and 3rd party stakeholders in the design, build and rollout of a mobile and table content app
  • Other related responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from 4-year college or university
  • Minimum 2-5 years in development and deployment of marketing, digital and social media strategies
  • Minimum 2-5 years management / supervisory experience preferred
  • HTML, web, social media publishing, MS Suite for Mac, Adobe Creative Suite required
  • Knowledge, understanding and proficiency in BLOX Digital or other website content management system
  • Experience in Constant Contact or other email marketing program
  • Knowledge, understanding and proficiency in managing, interpreting, analyzing and reporting on e-newsletter lists for qualified and unqualified audiences
  • Experience in Meta Business Manager and Sprout Social or other social media management platform
  • Strong proficiency of the digital ecosystem, including social media and multiple video formats
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Ad Manager, Google Adwords and Google for Business
  • Knowledge, understanding and proficiency in WordPress Dashboard and Issuu.com
  • Exceptional communication, time management and planning skills are a must
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate effectively within a team atmosphere
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work under pressure and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail a must
  • Self-starter and strong work ethic a must
  • Strong competitive instincts and intellectual curiosity a bonus
  • Proficiency in problem solving, project management, quality focus, team building, client relationship, process improvement and implementation
