This position is primarily responsible for managing marketing and advertising efforts aimed at leisure travelers, meetings groups, and the travel trade for Experience Scottsdale. The Digital Marketing Manager will plan, execute, and manage a variety of digital marketing initiatives, including Search Engine Marketing (SEM), Search Engine Optimization (SEO), email marketing, display advertising, and YouTube campaigns. The overarching goal of these efforts is to enhance brand awareness, drive traffic, and ultimately increase visitation to the Scottsdale area. In terms of SEM, the Digital Marketing Manager will collaborate closely with the VP of Marketing and the Director of Marketing to develop a comprehensive SEM strategy. This includes managing the SEM plan, which encompasses account optimization, keyword selection, ad creation, publisher optimization, targeting, and budgeting. For display, retargeting, and YouTube advertising, the manager will work in partnership with the creative team to develop effective ad strategies. This involves creating ads using design-based tools, managing campaigns with a focus on targeting and bidding, and providing monthly reports on performance. The Digital Marketing Manager will also play a crucial role in SEO efforts, collaborating with the Multimedia & Web Developer and the Director of Marketing to optimize organic search strategies. This includes conducting keyword and topic research, making UX recommendations based on user behavior, and providing technical SEO recommendations. Additionally, the manager will oversee email marketing campaigns, ensuring effective design and strategy for list growth and optimization through A/B testing. Seasonal campaigns are another key responsibility, where the manager will work with the marketing department to develop advertising strategies for various seasonal campaigns, including Summer, Holiday, and Canadian campaigns. This involves planning and implementing all aspects of the campaigns, from creating overviews to managing timelines and collaborating with creative services.
