About the position

The Digital Marketing Manager at Visit Shreveport-Bossier is responsible for executing the strategic communications and marketing plan to attract visitors to the Shreveport and Bossier City areas. This role involves developing creative marketing strategies, managing digital content, and collaborating with team members to enhance brand awareness and promote tourism effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Establish KPIs and goals for the position, analyzing and implementing strategic decisions regularly.
  • Contribute to the development of the annual strategic marketing plan and campaign projects.
  • Build brand awareness locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally through cohesive marketing and advertising.
  • Ideate and pitch high-level concepts for marketing programs that achieve business objectives.
  • Develop, gather, and verify information for the organization's digital materials.
  • Oversee app needs and ensure proper connection of information from the website.
  • Manage SBFunGuide.com and 20x49 website, including event submissions and content updates.
  • Oversee digital advertising needs and collaborate with partners and agencies.
  • Create and collaborate on the overall advertising schedule to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Manage and publish web-related content on visitshreveportbossier.org.
  • Create and review monthly website and analytical reports with recommendations.
  • Contribute to the digital assembly of print materials for tourism promotion.
  • Stay current on industry trends and share insights with team members.
  • Participate in professional associations and attend events to promote tourism.
  • Collaborate with external consultants to execute marketing strategy.
  • Contribute to content calendar discussions and assist with campaigns as assigned.
  • Engage in educational opportunities for professional growth.
  • Manage invoices related to the position's responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Advertising, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • Three years of marketing-related professional experience.
  • Proven working experience in digital marketing.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with team members and community partners.
  • Experience working within a CRM database and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent communication, grammatical, and presentation skills.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to identify unique ways to reach target audiences.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
  • Web publishing and design experience.
  • Email marketing experience preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with the local area.
