About the position

The Digital Marketing Manager at CuriOdyssey is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives across various channels to enhance museum attendance, revenue, and brand awareness. This role involves independent analysis, decision-making, and strategic recommendations, while managing content and communications for marketing campaigns. The position reports to the Assistant Director of Marketing and plays a key role in overseeing department operations and external communications.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and distribute marketing communications to support strategic goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accuracy and authenticity in communications.
  • Create campaign briefs and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage social media channels to drive awareness and engagement for CuriOdyssey's programs.
  • Create and coordinate blog posts reflecting expertise in STEAM topics and early science education.
  • Curate a digital editorial calendar for social media posts, e-newsletters, and blog entries.
  • Manage and publish monthly email newsletters and renewal emails to members.
  • Design and edit graphics, video reels, and photos for social media, maintaining brand standards.
  • Facilitate onsite digital and print signage for upcoming programs and events.
  • Execute Google Grant implementation with third-party vendors.
  • Work with contract media buyers on paid social media and digital display ads.
  • Oversee daily website maintenance and ensure timely updates.
  • Ensure website compliance with brand and accessibility guidelines.
  • Communicate with IT support for necessary updates and troubleshooting.
  • Monitor web traffic and analytics for actionable insights.
  • Route inbound marketing inquiries from internal and external partners.
  • Provide staffing support for events as necessary.
  • Exercise discretion in digital marketing strategies and data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • Minimum three years of professional experience in marketing or promotions.
  • Undergraduate degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in email marketing and social media marketing.
  • Experience with event marketing and SEO/SEM is a plus.
  • Strong writing and editing skills with a portfolio of marketing copy.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience at a non-profit organization or visitor-serving organization.
  • Familiarity with Asana is a plus.
