About the position

The Digital Marketing Manager at AAOS is responsible for leading the management and execution of content presentation and organization across the organization's digital platforms. This role is pivotal in enhancing the user experience for members and customers while driving revenue growth through effective digital marketing strategies. The manager will utilize analytics tools to generate reports that support marketing campaigns and improve website discoverability through SEO techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Lead content management and oversee the presentation and organization of content on aaos.org and other digital platforms.
  • Utilize Google Analytics and other tools to generate insightful reports supporting marketing and communications campaigns.
  • Implement innovative SEO techniques to improve website visibility and reach.
  • Manage and maintain the Academy's website, ensuring it is user-friendly and aligned with brand identity.
  • Collaborate with various teams to create and publish high-quality content across all digital platforms.
  • Optimize user experience and provide technical, administrative, and creative assistance in digital communications and campaigns.
  • Initiate solutions to streamline processes and improve integrations with the Association Management System (AMS).
  • Represent the member/user perspective, recommending and implementing improvements to website organization and functionality.
  • Collaborate with IT and other colleagues to direct the architecture of user-facing platforms.
  • Drive analytics, marketing automation, web production, and email in support of digital communications and campaigns.
  • Perform routine testing and troubleshooting of digital platforms' functionality.
  • Document workflow, specifications, and processes for the maintenance of AAOS digital platforms.
  • Evaluate SEO, site search, and navigation performance to improve discoverability and customer experience.
  • Assist in developing SEO and search architecture approaches that enhance user experience and results.
  • Coordinate and implement Google Analytics, Looker Studio, Google Tag Manager, and other metrics to report on key performance indicators.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in digital marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in web editing, content management, and digital marketing.
  • Proficiency in web content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal) and HTML/CSS.
  • Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics and Looker Studio).
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

  • Association or other not-for-profit work experience.
