About the position

The Digital Marketing Manager is a vital role within the Communications and Design department at the Building for Kids Children's Museum. This position is responsible for telling the story of the museum's mission and promoting its various opportunities. The Digital Marketing Manager will support all aspects of communications, marketing, and design, with a particular focus on developing, implementing, and evaluating digital marketing campaigns. This role requires a strategic mindset to raise awareness and promote the work of the museum effectively. In this position, the Digital Marketing Manager will develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including email, social media, display advertising, and the museum's website. Utilizing CRM data, the manager will create targeted email campaigns to promote the museum's offerings. Additionally, the role involves creating and implementing SEO strategies to enhance website traffic and collaborating with internal partners while managing external agencies and contractors. The Digital Marketing Manager will also oversee the museum's social media platforms and manage social media advertising. Capturing photo and video content for promotional purposes is another key responsibility. The manager will evaluate trends, emerging technologies, and analytics to inform the museum's digital marketing strategies and analyze campaign performance metrics to make necessary adjustments. Furthermore, the role may involve assisting in the creation of print materials, graphic design, internal communications, and outreach events as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Communications and Design department in building a strategy and raising awareness for the museum's work.
  • Develop and execute digital marketing campaigns across various channels, including email, social media, display advertising, and the website.
  • Utilize CRM data to create targeted email campaigns promoting museum opportunities.
  • Create and implement SEO strategies to increase website traffic.
  • Collaborate with internal partners and manage external agencies and contractors.
  • Manage the organization's social media platforms and social media ads.
  • Capture photo and video around the museum for promotional purposes.
  • Evaluate trends, emerging technologies, and analytics to inform digital marketing strategies.
  • Analyze campaign performance metrics and make adjustments accordingly.
  • Assist in the creation of print materials, graphic design, internal communications, and outreach events as needed.

Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience managing digital marketing campaigns (email, social media, digital advertising, etc.).
  • Experience with WordPress, SEO, and SEM.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms.
  • Availability for occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
