About the position

The Digital Marketing Specialist at The Nature Conservancy is responsible for implementing marketing strategies and executing content across digital channels within the Great Plain Division. This role focuses on delivering narratives, facilitating media campaigns, managing metrics, and maintaining relationships with media and stakeholders to effectively communicate the organization's programs and mission. The specialist will create and manage social media content and campaigns, write web features, and produce e-newsletters to engage targeted audiences and advance conservation goals.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and executes an editorial calendar for multiple social media accounts on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Collaborates with staff across job functions and geographies to ensure social media presence aligns with organizational priorities and values.
  • Tracks and reports metrics and trends relevant to social media accounts and web pages.
  • Makes recommendations for iterating social media approaches to best reach target audiences and advance conservation goals.
  • Produces digital content for web and email as needed.
  • Manages digital and photo archive.
  • Works within a budget to complete assigned projects or work.
  • Acts independently on assigned tasks as needed.
  • Works with vendors/other parties to execute projects/deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field and 5 years' related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience cultivating and managing client/customer relationships.
  • Experience writing, editing, and proofreading.
  • Experience organizing and coordinating multiple projects.
