About the position

The Digital Marketing Specialist (DMS) plays a crucial role in Health Alliance Plan's digital engagement team, focusing on the development and execution of digital strategies and campaigns. This position involves programming content across various digital channels, ensuring quality and performance, and utilizing data to measure success. The DMS collaborates with internal teams and external partners to enhance HAP's digital communications and user experiences, while also monitoring industry trends and competitive strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Support digital strategy and engagement team in executing digital campaigns and print automation.
  • Program content into relevant channel content management systems to achieve overarching strategies.
  • Ensure distribution, quality assurance, and performance of content.
  • Configure and tag digital properties for tracking purposes.
  • Track key performance indicators and develop reports for enterprise-level digital measurement.
  • Establish digital optimization plans and provide performance insights.
  • Act as a digital project manager for various projects, including content updates and small deployments.
  • Monitor trends in applications, channels, design, and strategy.
  • Collaborate with corporate communications and brand team to adhere to brand standards and manage content review processes.
  • Monitor and respond to health care insurance industry and competitive marketing communication strategies.
  • Support other channels and HAP digital marketing efforts, including social media analytics and content planning.
  • Manage community interactions, responding to questions and complaints in a compliant manner.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technical, Advertising/Marketing, or a relevant degree program.
  • Experience supporting integrated digital activities.
  • Demonstrated experience using a data-driven approach to inform implementation and improve performance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite.
  • Knowledge of content management systems (CMS) and applied experience preferred.
  • Proficient technical acumen with the ability to communicate technical requirements to business partners preferred.
  • Knowledge of SQL servers or similar databases preferred.
  • Project management experience preferred.
  • Agency experience preferred.
  • Health insurance or health care industry experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of digital delivery systems and design/layout best practices.
  • Knowledge of social media channels and engagement best practices.
  • Knowledge of campaign creation and management in CRM systems.
  • Ability to envision constituent journeys based on communications channels and calls to action.
  • Expert organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques, including sales funnel optimization.
  • Highly motivated self-starter comfortable working independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to simplify complex ideas for a broad audience.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under deadlines.
  • Experience with cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Hootsuite or similar third-party scheduling tool.
  • Experience managing social channels.
  • Experience with AP copywriting for social media.
  • Preferred knowledge of Canva and creating short-form video content (Reels, TikToks, CapCut).
