About the position

The Digital Marketing Specialist at The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is responsible for implementing marketing strategies and executing content across digital channels in the Great Plain Division. This role focuses on delivering narratives, facilitating media campaigns, managing social media content, and analyzing metrics to effectively communicate TNC's programs and mission. The specialist will work collaboratively with various stakeholders to create content that aligns with organizational priorities and helps advance conservation goals.

Responsibilities

  • Implement marketing strategies and execute content across digital channels.
  • Deliver narratives and facilitate media campaigns.
  • Produce and collect content, managing metrics for effectiveness.
  • Create, implement, measure, and manage social media content and campaigns.
  • Write web features and build/update website content as needed.
  • Produce e-newsletters for targeted audiences.
  • Develop content that aligns with organizational priorities and values.
  • Support integrated digital advocacy campaigns.
  • Manage online communities and engage with commenters.
  • Track and analyze web metrics and social media trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years' related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in marketing to diverse audiences.
  • Experience creating and posting social media content for organizations.
  • Experience managing multiple social media accounts.
  • Experience producing web pages and email newsletters.
  • Solid knowledge of best practices for social media metrics reporting.
  • Experience with social media scheduling software (e.g., Khoros).
  • Experience with design software (e.g., Canva) and photo/video editing software (e.g., Adobe CS).
  • Experience with email software such as MailChimp.
  • Experience with web production and content management systems (e.g., AEM).
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience preferred.
  • Proven enthusiasm for developing knowledge of social media trends and evolving platforms.
  • Basic application knowledge of project management principles.
