About the position

The Digital Marketing Specialist at The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is responsible for implementing marketing strategies and executing content across digital channels within the Great Plain Division. This role focuses on delivering narratives, facilitating media campaigns, managing social media content, and analyzing metrics to effectively communicate TNC's conservation goals and values. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, all while maintaining a commitment to TNC's mission of environmental conservation.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute an editorial calendar for multiple social media accounts on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Collaborate with staff across job functions and geographies to ensure social media presence aligns with organizational priorities and values.
  • Track and report metrics and trends relevant to social media accounts and web pages.
  • Make recommendations for iterating social media approaches to best reach target audiences and advance conservation goals.
  • Produce digital content for web and email as needed.
  • Manage digital and photo archive.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5 years' related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience cultivating and managing client/customer relationships.
  • Experience writing, editing, and proofreading.
  • Experience organizing and coordinating multiple projects.

  • Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience preferred.
  • Experience in marketing to diverse audiences.
  • Experience creating and posting social media content on behalf of an organization.
  • Experience managing multiple social media accounts.
  • Experience producing web pages and e-mail newsletters.
  • Solid knowledge of best practices for social media metrics reporting.
  • Experience with social media scheduling software (e.g. Khoros).
  • Experience with design software (e.g. Canva) as well as photo and video editing software (e.g., Adobe CS).
  • Experience with email software such as MailChimp.
  • Experience with web production and content management systems (e.g., AEM).
  • Proven enthusiasm for developing knowledge of social media trends and evolving platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
