About the position

The Digital Marketing Specialist at The Nature Conservancy (TNC) is responsible for implementing marketing strategies and executing content across digital channels within the Great Plain Division. This role focuses on delivering narratives, facilitating media campaigns, managing metrics, and maintaining relationships with media and stakeholders to effectively communicate TNC's programs and mission. The specialist will create and manage social media content, write web features, and produce e-newsletters to engage targeted audiences and advance conservation goals.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and executes an editorial calendar for multiple social media accounts on Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram.
  • Collaborates with staff across job functions and geographies to ensure social media presence aligns with organizational priorities and values.
  • Tracks and reports metrics and trends relevant to social media accounts and web pages.
  • Makes recommendations for iterating social media approaches to best reach target audiences and advance conservation goals.
  • Produces digital content for web and email as needed.
  • Manages digital and photo archive.
  • Works within a budget to complete assigned projects or work.
  • Acts independently on assigned tasks and works with vendors to execute projects and deliverables.

Requirements

  • Multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience preferred.
  • Experience in marketing to diverse audiences.
  • Experience creating and posting social media content on behalf of an organization.
  • Experience managing multiple social media accounts.
  • Experience producing web pages and e-mail newsletters.
  • Solid knowledge of best practices for social media metrics reporting.
  • Experience with social media scheduling software (e.g. Khoros).
  • Experience with design software (e.g. Canva) as well as photo and video editing software (e.g., Adobe CS).
  • Experience with email software such as MailChimp.
  • Experience with web production and content management systems (e.g., AEM).
  • Proven enthusiasm for developing knowledge of social media trends and evolving platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Basic application knowledge of project management principles.
  • Practical application of marketing concepts.
