About the position

As a Digital Marketing Specialist II, you will be a part of a team of marketing professionals dedicated to collaborating across all teams at the Chamber and supporting the overall business objectives, mission, and vision. This role plays a pivotal role in shaping the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber's online presence and assisting with the definition and execution of immediate and long-term marketing goals. The Specialist is expected to be both creative and analytical, using data to optimize marketing campaigns and influence recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Driving the Hispano Chamber's social media strategy and platforms including posting, scheduling and creating content for all departments and Industry Programs, with a focus on Convention and Tourism.
  • Developing and managing digital marketing campaigns across various channels including social, search engines, email and mobile platforms.
  • Optimizing web content for SEO strategies and overseeing the management of website updates.
  • Utilizing analytic tools to monitor, adjust and report on campaign performance.
  • Creating engaging content for different platforms in alignment with our Lodger's Tax Contract to promote Albuquerque as a destination for Hispanic and Native American markets.
  • Managing online brand and product campaigns to raise brand awareness, spotlight Albuquerque as destination of choice, and increase visibility to Chamber events and value.
  • Driving effective internal communications to ensure that all relevant Chamber functions are informed of marketing objectives and activities.
  • Staying current with emerging technologies and digital marketing trends to incorporate these into marketing strategy and tactics.
  • Creating, editing and distributing/scheduling all email marketing including monthly e-newsletters, standalone emails and other email communications including press releases and membership job opportunities board.
  • Assisting, as needed, with Convention and Tourism events, conferences, and other Marketing deliverables.
  • Specializing in all facets of the Chamber's CRM system for all departments.
  • Gathering and analyzing information to identify new markets and customers, demand for products and services, and efficacy of existing marketing campaigns and strategies.
  • Conducting market research and strategic planning to assess and ensure the sustainability of the Hispano Chamber.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, public relations, graphic design, or any related field or 1-3 years' experience in marketing, communications, public relations, or graphic design.
  • Demonstrated experience in marketing, events and sales.
  • Ability to demonstrate proactivity and the ability to work independently. Strong ability to set priorities, solve problems and be resourceful under pressure.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate clearly and articulate concepts and ideas reasonably.
  • Passion for events, tourism, and brand promotions.
  • Knowledge of business research, sales, marketing and customer service.
  • Ability to use personal transportation (i.e., personal vehicle) to attend events and carry appropriate insurance requirements.
  • Ability to travel locally and work early morning, evening, and weekend hours for event promotion.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and campaigns concurrently while producing goal-oriented results.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree in business administration, marketing, communications, public relations, graphic design, or any related field.
  • Fluency in the Spanish language (oral and written).
  • Working knowledge of business research, sales, marketing, and customer service.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in using Adobe products including Lightroom, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, and Illustrator or similar software.
