About the position

The position involves designing and implementing multifaceted content strategies tailored to recruitment and marketing efforts, leveraging data-driven insights to produce engaging materials for prospective students. This includes managing the university's official social media initiatives, ensuring brand consistency across all digital content, and coordinating digital content publishing across multiple media channels. The role requires collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team to create dynamic multimedia storytelling initiatives, as well as producing animated graphics and video templates. The individual will also provide lead work direction to digital content student assistants and maintain project management systems to keep projects current.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement content strategies for recruitment and marketing efforts.
  • Manage and support the university's official social media initiatives.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and track digital content publishing across media channels.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team on multimedia storytelling.
  • Create animated graphics, motion graphics, and branded video templates.
  • Meet with academic departments and organizations to create photo/video stories.
  • Provide lead work direction to digital content student assistants.
  • Maintain project management systems for project status and publishing schedules.
  • Prepare reports and presentations on marketing initiatives and performance.
  • Attend university meetings and events as needed.

Requirements

  • Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Three years of related professional or technical experience.
  • Working knowledge of communications theories and practices.
  • Thorough knowledge of media outlets and publicity campaigns.
  • Ability to build and manage media contacts.
  • Strong story development and journalistic writing skills.
  • Ability to analyze and select pertinent facts for communication.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including public speaking.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's degree in mass communications, marketing, journalism, or related field.
  • At least six months of experience in videography/photography.
  • Experience in a marketing/public relations agency environment.
  • Experience in a higher education development or marketing setting.
  • Ability to compile, write, and present marketing reports.
