About the position

The Digital Marketing Specialist position at Western States Cat (WSECO) is designed for a highly motivated and innovative individual who will play a crucial role in developing and implementing marketing programs aimed at enhancing the company's presence in the digital space. This role is integral to the Digital Marketing Team, focusing on various tactics including digital advertising, website content management, Google Analytics, social media support, and marketing automation. The ultimate goal is to generate and track both in-store and web traffic, as well as sales leads, to improve the customer experience and strengthen the Western States/Cat brand. In this position, the Digital Marketing Specialist will actively promote and manage safety within the organization, ensuring that all employees, vendors, and clients operate in a safe environment. This includes adhering to safety policies and maintaining a clean workspace. The Specialist will work under the supervision of the Digital Marketing Supervisor, collaborating with the marketing department to develop and implement marketing plans that align with specific business objectives. This involves analyzing data, competitor information, and market trends to shape effective marketing strategies. The role also encompasses supporting lead generation and awareness initiatives through online activities, basic website development, and email marketing. The Specialist will be responsible for creating and publishing organic social media content, conducting audits to track effectiveness, and processing marketing leads to ensure quality and appropriate sales action. Reporting on marketing activities, monitoring budgets, and safeguarding brand identities are also key responsibilities. The Specialist will be expected to stay updated on the latest marketing trends and seek educational opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing marketing programs to enhance digital presence.
  • Promote and manage safety within the organization.
  • Collaborate with the marketing department to develop marketing plans that support business objectives.
  • Support lead generation and awareness initiatives through online activities and email marketing.
  • Participate in the development and publication of organic social media content.
  • Conduct social media audits to track effectiveness and ensure best practices are used.
  • Process marketing leads by validating quality and forwarding for sales action.
  • Track and report lead results to understand marketing program performance.
  • Report on marketing activities using available data and systems.
  • Conduct competitor research to evaluate product characteristics and marketing strategies.
  • Manage digital ads and report results to maximize exposure.
  • Maintain organized filing systems for marketing records.
  • Prepare marketing reports by collecting and analyzing data as requested.
  • Participate in monthly digital marketing meetings as required.
  • Monitor budgets by comparing estimated costs with actual results.
  • Complete projects under the direction of the Digital Marketing Supervisor.
  • Safeguard the Cat and Western States brand identities according to established guidelines.
  • Seek educational opportunities in the latest marketing products and trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, journalism, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of digital marketing or similar industry experience required.
  • Experience in the Construction, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Automotive industry preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with various people and departments.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Ability to travel overnight to support business needs as required.
