About the position

The Digital Marketing Specialist will play a crucial role in a leading media agency focused on the pharmaceutical sector. This position is designed for a long-term contract, initially set for six months, with the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role. The specialist will work remotely, aligning with Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours, and will be responsible for developing and executing digital marketing strategies that enhance direct-to-consumer (DTC) and healthcare professional (HCP) engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute DTC and HCP omni-channel engagement recommendations based on customer insights and digital marketing trends.
  • Draft and review creative briefs and documentation for digital programs, ensuring alignment with marketing objectives.
  • Lead internal review processes and collaborate with external partners for timely preparation of digital programs.
  • Partner with brands and agencies to define project strategy, scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Lead KPI and measurement reporting for digital initiatives, providing insights to optimize campaign performance.
  • Execute DTC and HCP digital tactics and media programs to drive business impact and maximize ROI.
  • Collaborate with Business Insights & Analytics for KPI identification and ongoing reporting of digital programs.
  • Drive innovation in digital tactics by partnering with brands and external partners.
  • Monitor project status and provide regular updates on progress and challenges.
  • Demonstrate digital and DTC/HCP program experience with a proven track record in digital marketing.
  • Manage annual digital programs, ensuring efficient budget allocation and resource management.
  • Stay updated on digital marketing trends to provide strategic recommendations.
  • Analyze campaign performance data for actionable insights to optimize future initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to implement effective digital marketing strategies.
  • Provide training and guidance on digital marketing tools and techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3+ years of industry experience in pharmaceutical/biotech or related marketing.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical omnichannel strategy and digital marketing.
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills in leading digital engagement and analytics activities.
  • Proven ability to manage digital agencies, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
  • Competence in developing and activating media plans for optimal reach and engagement.
  • Ability to navigate internal review processes for compliance and timely approvals.
  • Prior experience in Digital or Media Marketing Agency is a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Veeva PromoMats, PowerBI, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Lucid, and Veeva CRM.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing analytics and measurement tools.
  • Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent presentation skills to convey digital strategies and results.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior Digital or Media Marketing Agency experience is a plus.
