About the position

This role involves drafting and editing content for various communication platforms, maintaining consistent information across channels, and collaborating with internal units to ensure smooth information flow. The specialist will also design graphics and video content, manage website updates, and analyze communication data to enhance marketing efforts.

Responsibilities

• Execute marketing and branding campaigns for office events and initiatives.
• Draft and edit content for email newsletters, web, print materials, and social media.
• Maintain consistent and up-to-date information across all communications platforms.
• Design, edit, and catalog graphics and video content using Canva.
• Manage updates for the department website, including back- and front-end work.
• Utilize project management tools to communicate among team members.
• Monitor and analyze usage data for all communications platforms.
• Assist in the design and production of statistical reports and infographics.
• Participate in communications-related training and stay informed of best practices.
• Collaborate with student assistants and other office staff.
• Participate in office-wide events and meetings.
• Perform other administrative support tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• 1 year of marketing experience (preferred).
• Proficiency in email marketing, Microsoft Excel, and WordPress.
• Experience in social media management and digital marketing.
• Ability to acquire customers effectively.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Canva for graphic design.
• Familiarity with project management tools like Microsoft Planner and Microsoft Lists.
