About the position

At Unison, we are on a mission to optimize homeownership by providing innovative products and expert advice to empower our customers in residential real estate. We are seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist who will leverage their expertise in lead generation and online customer acquisition to help us grow. This role is crucial in implementing our organic search strategy, driving positive organic traffic growth, and increasing website visibility. You will also play a key role in optimizing paid marketing campaigns, analyzing performance data, and contributing to our content marketing efforts. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to delve into technical SEO and manage various digital advertising initiatives. In the first month, you will immerse yourself in the industry, learn about our business model and products, and develop content marketing strategies. You will collaborate with editorial and marketing teams to drive content creation and optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing (SEM). You will also learn about our internal ad campaign structure and reporting capabilities, and use social media to distribute content and encourage external sites to link back to our organization. By the end of three months, you will monitor search algorithms set by search engines to keep up with changes in the SEO landscape, ensure that newly developed code meets SEO best practices, and perform day-to-day digital ad campaign optimizations. You will search for opportunities to optimize website architecture, content, linking, and other factors to improve organic positions for target keywords. Continual monitoring of search terms, rankings, and analytics will be essential to make recommendations for improvements. After six months, you will employ user experience (UX) and conversion rate optimization methods to enhance user engagement. You will assist in developing digital ad campaigns across multiple platforms and provide reporting on internal KPIs from active digital ad campaigns. Additionally, you will conceptualize and execute a link-building strategy, research and analyze competitor advertising links, and drive targeted traffic to our website through effective community-building efforts.

Requirements

  • Proven SEO and SEM experience, preferably in a finance or compliance regulated industry.
  • 1-3 years experience in content creation for SEO purposes.
  • 1-3 years experience managing PPC and social media campaigns across major platforms.
  • Sound comprehension of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition.
  • In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Search Console, MOZ/SEM Rush).
  • Experience with A/B and multivariate experiments.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints.
  • Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms.
  • Continually current on latest trends and best practices in SEO.
  • BS/BA degree in a quantitative, test-driven field.
