About the position

The Digital Marketing Specialist (DMS) is responsible for driving digital revenue growth for the station by selling digital assets, services, and strategies. This role requires a proactive approach to developing new leads and collaborating with the broadcast team to enhance sales processes. The DMS will also motivate the sales team and ensure effective communication between sales and operations, while managing various digital marketing strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Sell digital assets, services, and strategies individually and collaboratively with the broadcast team.
  • Develop and cultivate new and existing leads through cold calls and prospecting.
  • Prepare client proposals, sales pitches, and contracts in collaboration with the Digital Sales Manager.
  • Achieve personal and station digital budget and goals.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Sales Manager to implement clients' digital marketing strategies.
  • Provide feedback, forecasts, reports, and competitive information on digital marketing campaign performances.
  • Create and package ideas that meet the needs of core advertiser categories.
  • Act as a liaison between the sales team and operations team for seamless communication.
  • Manage digital display, SEM, SEO, Mobile, CTV/OTT, and Social Media sales strategies.
  • Identify and develop strategies for penetrating key accounts and prospects.

Requirements

  • 2-3+ years of sales experience in online media including Internet ad sales and online marketing.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • Experience managing and leading a team of sales managers and sales reps.
  • Extensive knowledge of multi-media ROI-based creative marketing solutions.
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with TV/Radio stations or other media.
  • Experience with streaming media technology and ad networks.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven record of leading in a goal-oriented environment.
