About the position

The Children's Guild (TCG) is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist who will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the organization's online presence. This position is integral to the marketing team and reports directly to the Director of Marketing. The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance, appearance, accuracy, and functionality of TCG's website, social media accounts, and its sub-properties. The role involves managing digital accounts related to TCG's online presence, serving as the point of contact for vendors, and contributing to budget recommendations that align with the company's organizational structure, goals, and marketing strategies. The Children's Guild is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming the way America cares for and educates its children. We provide individualized transformational experiences to ensure children, families, and communities thrive through education, behavioral health, management, and consulting services. Our organization operates several educational institutions and programs, including public charter schools and outpatient mental health clinics, and is recognized as one of the most experienced child-serving organizations in the Greater Baltimore/Washington region. In this role, the Digital Marketing Specialist will be tasked with a variety of responsibilities, including website management, social media management, content creation, and administrative duties. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to upholding the organization's branding and diversity values. The position also offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing for a balance between remote work and in-person collaboration, which is essential for optimizing productivity and team dynamics.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop WordPress websites using Divi for user-friendly experiences.
  • Maintain front-end and back-end elements of the website, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
  • Update visual content across eleven websites for accuracy and consistency.
  • Respond to companywide creative service requests related to websites.
  • Uphold branding guidelines for visual consistency across all platforms.
  • Implement responsive and mobile-friendly designs for the websites.
  • Monitor website analytics and user behavior for optimization purposes.
  • Manage the social media content calendar and use analytics tools for performance tracking.
  • Implement social media strategies to enhance brand visibility.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director, designers, copywriters, and video producers to develop integrated marketing materials.
  • Use social media management software to create, curate, manage, and analyze content on various platforms.
  • Plan and execute paid advertising campaigns on social media.
  • Analyze response data and generate reports to provide insights on social media performance.
  • Implement A/B testing on social media campaigns to improve effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director to produce graphics, web banners, icons, photos, and videos.
  • Help manage vendor resources and support for marketing initiatives.
  • Maintain Google My Business and other online profiles for the organization and its services.
  • Ensure online visuals are optimized for SEO and user engagement.
  • Manage the organization and archives of creative files for easy access and retrieval.
  • Write the monthly marketing newsletter for internal distribution.
  • Manage web hosting accounts and monitor domain registrations.
  • Maintain records of passwords and budget allocations for marketing activities.
  • Organize the team's digital creative file folders for efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate with finance and vendors for invoicing and budget management.
  • Maintain website vendor contact and service agreements for smooth operations.
  • Generate regular reports on performance and compliance with marketing strategies.
  • Assist in obtaining permissions and licenses for copyrighted content.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or bachelor's candidate preferred, focusing on Marketing, Digital Media, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 consecutive years of experience in digital marketing, social content management, and web design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Jungle Mail.
  • Proficiency in Hootsuite for social media management.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite: Canva, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat.
  • Strong command of digital tools: WordPress, Divi, HTML, CSS.
  • Design skills encompassing illustration, layout design, presentation creation, web design UX/UI, and infographic design.
  • Proven social media management skills with a track record of successful campaigns.
  • Demonstrated data analysis skills to track and report on marketing performance.
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills to handle multiple projects effectively.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to adhering to brand guidelines.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
