About the position

The Digital Marketing Specialist at The Urban Electric Co. plays a crucial role in supporting the brand's digital and social media strategy. This position involves day-to-day project management, coordination with internal and external creative teams, and execution of marketing campaigns across various platforms. The specialist will also be responsible for maintaining the company's website and ensuring its content is fresh and aligned with brand objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Support the brand's overall digital and social media strategy.
  • Serve as the day-to-day contact and primary facilitator of the brand's social media communications.
  • Coordinate relationships with internal creative teams and external content agencies to ensure timely project deliverables.
  • Plan, manage, execute, and respond on all social media platforms including Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest.
  • Manage and execute weekly email campaigns and maintain an editorial calendar, analyzing and reporting performance.
  • Maintain product catalog and monitor placement opportunities on third-party websites.
  • Research and stay current on social media trends, new features, and technologies, implementing them into the overall strategy.
  • Project management of digital marketing and content management tasks using tools like Basecamp.
  • Assist with overall quality assurance of the website, ensuring updates meet brand and user experience standards.
  • Manage website content by updating hero imagery, banners, product pages, blogs, and other media as needed.
  • Ensure website functionality, including regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and QA testing.
  • Oversee and optimize all site merchandising strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and maintaining brand integrity.
  • Assist with the marketing of brand events and activations.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years' experience in social media or digital marketing management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Analytics, Canva, Sprout, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, and social media platforms.
  • Strength in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically InDesign and Photoshop is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Motivated and driven, with a willingness to take ownership of tasks.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with project management tools such as Basecamp.
  • Familiarity with email marketing strategies and tools.
