About the position

Eldon C. Stutsman, Inc. is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Digital Marketing Specialist at our Hills, Iowa location. This role is pivotal in developing and executing strategic digital marketing plans and projects that will enhance the Stutsman brand across various digital platforms. As a Digital Marketing Specialist, you will manage the digital presence of the company, which includes overseeing websites, search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), email and SMS campaigns, and assisting with social media initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in SEO and digital marketing campaigns, utilizing a data-driven approach to effectively manage projects and drive results. In this full-time salaried position, you will report directly to the Marketing Director and will be responsible for a variety of tasks that contribute to the overall marketing strategy of the company. You will be expected to perform technical on-page SEO, link building, and ongoing keyword research, while also implementing content recommendations to optimize our digital presence. Additionally, you will design, implement, monitor, and optimize various paid digital campaigns, including AdWords and social media advertising, ensuring that all initiatives align with the company's goals and objectives. Your role will also involve collaborating with other marketing team members to execute digital campaigns, managing website content for relevancy and user experience, and creating compelling copy for various platforms. Regular communication with project stakeholders will be essential to keep them informed of campaign progress and performance. Staying up to date with digital marketing trends and technologies will be crucial for evaluating their effectiveness and fit for our organization. Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the development and management of SEO strategy, including performing technical on-page SEO, link building, optimizing copy, performing ongoing keyword research, and implementing content recommendations.
  • Design, implement, monitor and optimize various paid digital campaigns (AdWords, social media, and other PPC advertising).
  • Collaborate with other marketing team members to design and execute digital campaigns or initiatives (paid ads, website, email, SMS, and social campaigns).
  • Efficiently and effectively execute multiple projects simultaneously according to priority.
  • Manage websites, regularly updating content for relevancy, accuracy, and user experience.
  • Create compelling copy for website, blog, ads, and social media.
  • Regularly update project stakeholders on campaign and project progress, communicating information and ideas both clearly and concisely.
  • Monitor and analyze websites, social channels and digital campaign performance, prepare performance reports and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Continuously stay up to date on digital marketing trends and technologies, and evaluate their fit and effectiveness for implementation.
  • Understand overall company goals, division priorities, and product seasonality to assist in developing creative digital marketing and communication campaigns.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, agriculture, business or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of work experience in digital marketing and communications is required.
  • Knowledge and experience with SEO, and PPC (including social media advertising) campaigns is required.
  • Proficient in Google Analytics as well as data analysis and reporting; strong analytical skills to pair with this experience.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and overall web UX principles is required.
  • WordPress experience required; WooCommerce and e-commerce experience preferred.
  • Prior experience or background in the agriculture and/or transportation industry is preferred, but not required.
  • Email and SMS marketing campaign experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of design principles and experience using Adobe Creative Suite is preferred.
  • Videography experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to problem solve, be resourceful and adapt when necessary to promptly complete work.
  • Possess strong project/time management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background investigations.
