The Digital Marketing Specialist will play a crucial role in managing our digital technology and communications platforms. This position is integral to our Communications Team, where you will be responsible for disseminating messages across various digital channels and maximizing their effectiveness. Your work will encompass a range of ministry objectives, including fundraising, event promotion, and direct digital evangelism, ultimately aiming to reach millions with innovative Gospel approaches. In this role, you will be tasked with researching advertising trends and generating strategies for growth. Under the guidance of the Director of Digital Technologies, you will manage ad campaigns on platforms such as Meta, TikTok, and Google Ads. You will also publish digital marketing content across social media, websites, and email/SMS channels, while monitoring engagement through social media and Google Analytics. Your analytical skills will be essential in measuring and optimizing digital traffic and engagement, as well as brainstorming and implementing experiments and conversion tests. Additionally, you will assist in utilizing AI technologies to translate Gospel-oriented marketing funnels into new languages, thereby expanding our reach. Collaboration with content creators will be key to refining our messaging and improving engagement. You will also support the operations of our daily Hope with God radio program and its digital distribution channels. This position is hybrid, requiring at least three in-office days in Beaverton, Oregon, with the possibility of fully remote options for candidates outside the Portland area, along with occasional travel to headquarters.

Responsibilities

  • Research advertising trends and generate potential strategies for growth.
  • Manage ad campaigns on Meta, TikTok, and Google Ads under the direction of the Director of Digital Technologies.
  • Publish digital marketing content online across social media, web, and email/SMS.
  • Monitor social media and Google Analytics.
  • Measure and optimize digital traffic and engagement.
  • Brainstorm and implement experiments and conversion tests.
  • Assist in utilizing AI technologies to translate Gospel-oriented marketing funnels into new languages.
  • Provide data-informed feedback to refine design, copy, video content, and delivery methods.
  • Work collaboratively with content creators to sharpen messages and improve engagement.
  • Assist in the operations of the daily Hope with God radio program and its digital distribution channels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in digital communications and social media.
  • Technologically minded and systems-oriented thinker.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive growth and engagement through digital channels.
  • Analytical thinking to improve strategies and outcomes.
  • Experience in paid and organic social media marketing, including Meta and TikTok ads.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to complete tasks with excellence in a timely manner, even when repetitive.
  • High value for batching tasks for ultimate productivity.
  • Persistent drive to improve processes and test new strategies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time-management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to quickly learn new digital tools like content management systems, advertising platforms, and CRMs.
  • Experience using AI technologies to maximize efficiency is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse personalities.
  • Proficiency in Google Docs, Mac IOS, Meta Business Suite, TikTok, and Google Analytics.
