About the position

As a crucial member of the McGrath Institute for Church Life communications team, the Digital Marketing Specialist will develop and implement innovative digital strategies that advance the priorities and objectives of the Institute. This role is essential in planning and executing digital marketing campaigns across various platforms, including web, SEO/SEM, email, social media, and display advertising. The Digital Marketing Specialist will maintain the Institute's social media presence across all digital channels, ensuring consistent and engaging content that resonates with the target audience. Additionally, the position involves managing targeted email campaigns and producing comprehensive reports on the outcomes of marketing efforts to assess effectiveness and inform future strategies. The Digital Marketing Specialist will also be responsible for monitoring ongoing changes in digital marketing trends and innovations in social media, adapting strategies as necessary to stay ahead in the competitive landscape. Furthermore, the role includes managing the Institute's website content and functionality, ensuring that it is user-friendly, up-to-date, and aligned with the Institute's goals. This position requires a proactive approach to digital marketing, with a focus on continuous improvement and a commitment to achieving measurable results.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative digital marketing strategies that align with the Institute's objectives.
  • Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns across web, SEO/SEM, email, social media, and display advertising.
  • Maintain the Institute's social media presence across all digital channels.
  • Manage targeted email campaigns and produce reports on marketing outcomes.
  • Monitor ongoing changes in digital marketing and innovations in social media.
  • Manage the content and functionality of the Institute's website.

Requirements

  • 3 to 4 years of related work experience in digital marketing or a similar field.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience with CRM tools and databases.
  • Proven experience in digital marketing, social media, and content creation.
  • Experience with analytics and creative problem-solving.
  • Superior organization and project management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively while managing multiple deadlines.
  • Proven ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate with team members.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field (B.A. or B.S.).
  • Experience in a fast-paced media agency or similar startup environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of optimizing the use and design of CRMs.
  • Motivated to learn and grow in a mission-driven environment.
  • Ability to collaborate in person as needed.
  • Knowledge of the Higher Education industry.
  • Working knowledge of the Spanish language.
