About the position

As a key member of the marketing team at Eppendorf, you will play a crucial role in driving various marketing initiatives and ensuring that deliverables are met on time. Your responsibilities will encompass project management, operational support, and digital marketing efforts. You will be the go-to person for all digital marketing operational tasks, providing exceptional support to the team. This includes managing marketing automation programs, overseeing email marketing campaigns, and ensuring that social media and digital advertising efforts are executed effectively. In your role, you will be responsible for developing programs within the marketing automation platform, Marketo, following campaign briefs, making recommendations, testing programs, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. You will also ensure that the email calendar is up-to-date, create internal and external emails, and manage the social media calendar by building and deploying posts while responding to direct messages and managing requests according to company policy. Your expertise in digital advertising will be essential as you manage keywords and ads for paid search and display campaigns, working closely with stakeholders to optimize performance and ensure budget adherence. You will also be tasked with creating digital ads for third-party websites and ensuring that all tracking mechanisms are in place to measure campaign effectiveness. This includes using UTM codes for digital channels and pulling data for reporting purposes. In addition to these responsibilities, you will oversee purchase orders for digital channels, ensuring that contracts and agreements are submitted correctly and tracked appropriately. Your role may also involve additional marketing responsibilities as needed, with a travel requirement of up to 10% within the market region and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Drive activities for the marketing team ensuring deliverables are achieved on-time
  • Be the go-to person for digital marketing operational tasks and provide exceptional support
  • Support digital marketing channels such as email, social media, and search
  • Own reporting tracking for digital marketing activities and overall campaign results
  • Develop programs in marketing automation platform (Marketo) by following campaign briefs, making recommendations, testing programs, identifying problems, and troubleshooting solutions
  • Ensure email calendar is up-to-date, create internal and external emails, edit images, and pull and upload lists
  • Ensure social media calendar is up-to-date, build and deploy social media posts, respond to DMs, and manage social media requests according to policy
  • Manage keywords and ads for paid search and GDN campaigns, working with stakeholders on optimization and budget adherence
  • Create digital ads for third-party websites according to the editorial calendar
  • Make ongoing recommendations for optimization of individual activities and overall campaigns, identifying areas of improvement and providing best practices
  • Ensure UTM criteria are in tracking system and create UTM codes for digital channels
  • Use tools to pull data and input data into trackers
  • Build slides for reporting as requested
  • Oversee purchase orders for digital channels by submitting contracts and agreements for POs, tracking progress, and sending POs to vendors as needed
  • Perform additional marketing responsibilities as needed

Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or similar concentration
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related work experience in marketing
  • Life science industry experience desirable
  • Experience in an international and matrixed organization, ideally working with cross-cultural teams
  • Skilled in project management to achieve deliverables on time and in-scope
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English; Portuguese and Spanish an advantage
  • Takes initiative to solve problems independently and provides recommendations for improvement
  • Flexible and pro-active when faced with obstacles
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of marketing automation systems (Marketo)
  • Experience with digital platforms & tools (Google Ads, GDN, Google Analytics, Meta, LinkedIn)
  • Familiar with CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics a plus)
