About the position

The Digital Marketing Specialist position at Western States Equipment Company is designed for a highly motivated and innovative individual who will play a crucial role in developing and implementing marketing programs aimed at enhancing the company's presence in the digital space. This role requires collaboration with the Digital Marketing Team to execute various tactics, including digital advertising, website content management, Google Analytics, social media support, and marketing automation. The ultimate goal is to generate and track both in-store and web traffic, as well as sales leads, to improve the customer experience and strengthen the Western States/Cat brand. In this position, the specialist will actively promote and manage safety protocols within the organization, ensuring a safe work environment for all employees, vendors, and clients. This includes adhering to safety policies and maintaining clean work areas. The specialist will work under the supervision of the Digital Marketing Supervisor, contributing to the development and implementation of marketing plans that align with specific business objectives. This involves analyzing data, competitor information, and market trends to shape effective marketing strategies. The role also encompasses lead generation and awareness initiatives through online activities, basic website development, and email marketing. The specialist will participate in creating organic social media content, conducting audits to track effectiveness, and processing marketing leads to ensure quality and appropriate sales action. Regular reporting on marketing activities and performance metrics will be essential, as will monitoring budgets and managing digital ad platforms to maximize exposure. Additionally, the specialist will be responsible for maintaining organized records of vendors, clients, products, and marketing materials, preparing reports by collecting and analyzing data, and participating in monthly digital marketing meetings. Continuous learning about the latest marketing products and trends is encouraged to enhance skills and knowledge in the field.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and implementing marketing programs to enhance digital presence.

  • Support marketing lead generation and awareness initiatives through online activities and email marketing.
  • Participate in the development and publication of organic social media content.
  • Conduct social media audits to track effectiveness and ensure best practices are used.
  • Process marketing leads by validating quality and forwarding them for sales action.
  • Track and report lead results to understand marketing program performance.
  • Monitor budgets by comparing estimated costs with actual results.
  • Prepare marketing reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data as requested.
  • Safeguard the Cat and Western States brand identities according to established guidelines.
  • Seek educational opportunities in the latest marketing products and trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in business, marketing, communications, journalism, or related field.
  • Minimum of one year of digital marketing or similar industry experience required.
  • Experience in the Construction, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Automotive industry is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with various departments and individuals.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and adaptability to changing business needs.
  • Ability to travel overnight to support business needs.
