About the position

Paul Mitchell Advanced Education (PMAE) is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist who will play a pivotal role in managing and maintaining all digital properties associated with the Paul Mitchell School brand. This position requires a highly organized and analytical individual who can effectively oversee websites, tracking platforms, and SEO-related tools. The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on the performance of web properties and digital campaigns, ensuring that all digital initiatives align with the overall marketing strategy and goals of the organization. In this role, the Digital Marketing Specialist will update and optimize website content, analyze website and SEO trends, and lead project-related meetings. Collaboration is key, as the specialist will work closely with internal teams and agency partners to develop comprehensive digital campaigns. They will also ensure that business listings and review platforms are current and accurate, contributing to a strong online presence for the Paul Mitchell Schools brand. The position involves creating training materials, analyzing user experiences, and communicating digital trends to leadership and team members, making it essential for the candidate to possess excellent communication skills. Proficiency in Google and Microsoft Suite is essential, along with project management skills to handle multiple projects and deadlines independently. The ideal candidate will have experience with WordPress, HTML, CSS, and SQL, as well as a background in higher education digital support. Overall, the Digital Marketing Specialist will be instrumental in driving the success of digital information initiatives and enhancing the online visibility of the Paul Mitchell Schools.

Responsibilities

  • Update, optimize, and manage website content and landing pages for both corporate and school-level websites.
  • Analyze and report on website and SEO trends using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Data Studio, SEMrush, and other specialized SEO tools as needed.
  • Lead and schedule project-related meetings, including kickoffs, brainstorms, and reviews, and route projects through appropriate departments for review and approval.
  • Collaborate closely with internal leadership, cross-functional teams, and agency partners to develop digital campaigns across all channels and understand how they relate to the overall marketing plan and goals.
  • Update, manage, and monitor business listings, review platforms, and current business information within chosen multi-location management platforms and tools.
  • Assist with and perform other digital and cross-functional projects as needed.
  • Create training tutorials and materials to educate the school network on current digital trends, implementation, execution, and analysis.
  • Analyze website user experiences (UX) and provide insights or suggestions to improve initiatives.
  • Identify and communicate digital trends and emerging SEO technologies to leadership, team members, and the school network.
  • Provide marketing and digital support to school staff where necessary via phone, Zoom, and other communications platforms.
  • Assist with other responsibilities as assigned by management, which may include assignments outside of the normal role.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of proven experience in a similar role and environment is required.
  • Experience with WordPress and page/theme builders is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and SQL is a plus.
  • Higher education or franchise (or multi-location) experience is a plus.
  • Experience providing phone support and customer service.

  • Demonstrated ability to use Artificial Intelligence Prompts is a plus.
