About the position

The Digital Marketing Specialist will play a crucial role in a leading media agency focused on the pharmaceutical sector. This position is designed for a long-term contract, initially set for six months with the potential for extension or conversion to a permanent role. The specialist will work remotely, aligning with Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours, and will be responsible for developing and executing digital marketing strategies that enhance direct-to-consumer (DTC) and healthcare professional (HCP) engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute DTC and HCP omni-channel engagement recommendations based on customer insights and brand strategy.
  • Draft and review creative briefs and documentation for digital programs.
  • Lead internal review processes and collaborate with external partners for digital program preparation.
  • Partner with Brand, digital agencies, and media partners to define project strategy and deliverables.
  • Lead KPI and measurement reporting for DTC and HCP digital initiatives, providing actionable insights.
  • Oversee the execution of DTC and HCP digital tactics and media programs to maximize ROI.
  • Collaborate with Business Insights & Analytics for KPI identification and ongoing reporting.
  • Drive innovation in digital tactics by partnering with Brands and external partners.
  • Monitor project status and provide regular reporting on progress and challenges.
  • Stay updated on digital marketing trends to provide strategic recommendations.
  • Analyze campaign performance data for future optimization.
  • Provide training and guidance on digital marketing tools to the marketing team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech or related marketing.
  • Experience in pharmaceutical omnichannel strategy and digital marketing.
  • Strong leadership and analytical skills in leading digital engagement and analytics activities.
  • Proven ability to manage digital agencies and cross-functional teams effectively.
  • Competence in developing and activating media plans for optimal reach.
  • Ability to navigate internal review processes for compliance and approvals.
  • Prior experience in Digital or Media Marketing Agency is a plus.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills for stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Veeva PromoMats, PowerBI, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Lucid, and Veeva CRM.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing analytics and measurement tools.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior Digital or Media Marketing Agency experience is a plus.
