About the position

Copper and Brass Sales, a division of thyssenkrupp Materials NA, is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Digital Marketing Specialist to join our team. This role is hybrid or remote (if over 45 minutes from a site) and is crucial for executing and managing a wide range of digital marketing initiatives aimed at increasing our brand presence and driving sales across North America. The ideal candidate will have a diverse background in digital marketing and will be responsible for enhancing our digital footprint, optimizing our eCommerce visibility, and leveraging marketing automation tools to engage and convert our target audience. The Digital Marketing Specialist will report to the Senior Digital Marketing Manager and work collaboratively with a team of marketing and communication professionals, including designers and copywriters. Key responsibilities include leading and managing external marketing projects, ensuring timely execution and delivery of marketing initiatives aligned with business objectives, and supporting sustainability and solution selling campaigns with strategic content and digital marketing tactics. The specialist will also manage video projects, provide marketing support to the Copper and Brass Sales eCommerce website, and maintain frequent communication with the channel manager to ensure cohesive digital strategy execution. In addition, the role involves developing and managing content for various digital channels, implementing SEO and SEM strategies to increase online visibility, overseeing email marketing and marketing automation activities, and directing social media strategies to enhance brand visibility. The Digital Marketing Specialist will utilize Google Analytics and other tools to track and report on website performance and marketing campaign effectiveness, providing actionable insights to optimize digital marketing strategies and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage external marketing projects within your area of responsibility.
  • Ensure the timely execution and delivery of marketing initiatives aligned with business objectives.
  • Support sustainability and solution selling campaigns with strategic content and digital marketing tactics.
  • Manage video projects, including production oversight and content direction.
  • Provide marketing support to the Copper and Brass Sales eCommerce website.
  • Participate in recurring meetings to support feature ideation, content creation, and digital marketing efforts.
  • Maintain frequent communication with the channel manager to ensure cohesive digital strategy execution.
  • Develop and manage content for various digital channels, including blogs, corporate websites, and eCommerce platforms.
  • Coordinate CMS updates to ensure content is current, accurate, and engaging.
  • Collaborate with designers and copywriters to create high-quality marketing materials.
  • Develop and implement search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) strategies to increase online visibility and drive traffic to our digital properties.
  • Support localization strategies for reputation management and SEO.
  • Oversee all division-specific activities within Marketo, including lead generation, email marketing, and marketing automation.
  • Manage the email marketing preference center to optimize audience engagement and segmentation.
  • Implement and direct social media strategies to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Create and update line cards, print collateral, presentation templates, and email signature banners to support marketing initiatives.
  • Utilize Google Analytics and other tools to track and report on website performance and marketing campaign effectiveness.
  • Provide actionable insights to optimize digital marketing strategies and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in Marketing, Creative Writing, Communications or a related field; or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience and proven track record in B2B digital marketing
  • Knowledge of social and digital platforms and optimization strategies
  • Website CMS and email marketing experience
  • Strong copywriting skills
  • Design capable using Adobe Creative Cloud suite with little to no guidance
  • Proficiency in SEO (required) and SEM (helpful) practices and tools
  • Project management experience
  • Understands digital best practices and standards
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects/deadlines concurrently
  • Works with speed, accuracy, and urgency
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, and written
  • Creativity and attention to detail
  • Google Analytics (required) and Google Tag Manager (preferred)
