About the position

Lawrence & Schiller is seeking a Digital Marketing Specialist who will serve as a digital lead on an assigned agency team. This role is ideal for a bright, enthusiastic, and self-motivated individual with prior experience in a marketing role. The candidate must be a team player with a marketing mindset, outstanding communication skills, and a strong initiative to exceed expectations. The Digital Marketing Specialist will be responsible for various digital marketing initiatives, including website project management, email automation campaigns, CRM programs, campaign performance reporting, social media strategies, search engine strategies, and lead generation. In this position, the Digital Marketing Specialist will attend client meetings as the team's digital representative, contributing to discussions on digital marketing initiatives. They will lead the team in defining website strategies for clients, including setting goals, project scope, timelines, and budgets. Collaboration with other digital team members and external partners will be essential to ensure that web projects meet and exceed client expectations. The specialist will also define campaign and business results for clients, implementing advanced marketing analytics performance and tracking strategies to optimize towards these goals. Additionally, the role involves managing client email and SMS programs, leading the development of email message maps, user segmentation, automation, deployment, tracking, and reporting. The Digital Marketing Specialist will also lead the strategy for customer relationship management (CRM) programs, working closely with writers and programmers to develop editorial and message templates. Becoming the web analytics expert for clients, particularly in Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, will be crucial for tracking and reporting on relevant conversions and usability, with findings informing new web development ideas and organic growth.

Responsibilities

  • Attend client meetings as the team's digital representative to contribute to and lead discussions on digital marketing initiatives.
  • Lead the team through website strategies for clients, including definition of goals, project scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Work with other digital team members and partners/vendors to ensure that web projects are completed to meet and exceed client expectations within the defined timeline and budget.
  • Define campaign and business results for clients; implement advanced marketing analytics performance and tracking strategies to report and optimize towards these goals.
  • Define audience messaging goals and social media strategy for clients; work with the creative team to implement strategies for client.
  • Manage client email and SMS programs, including leading the development of email message maps, user segmentation, automation, deployment, tracking, and reporting.
  • Lead the strategy for customer relationship management (CRM) programs.
  • Work closely with the team writers and programmers to develop editorial, message templates, and all other technical requirements.
  • Become the web analytics expert (Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager) for clients to track and report on relevant conversions and usability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field with 3+ years of professional experience.
  • Experience with analytics, dashboards, search engine strategies, web analytics, email marketing, social media, and digital marketing.
  • Advanced internet user with excellent computer skills and the ability to learn new programs and processes.
  • Superior time management skills and the ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining focus and productivity.
  • Outstanding oral communicator and technical writer.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new information and situations.
  • Experience with various websites CMS, email service providers, social media management platforms, SEO tools, etc.
  • High-level knowledge of HTML, web design and usability, or paid search (SEM) management is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
