About the position

The Digital Marketing Strategist at Truist Bank is responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance revenue and engagement on the Truist.com website, specifically focusing on mortgage products. This role involves collaborating with various teams to create digital marketing assets, leveraging data insights for performance improvement, and educating internal partners on campaign results to foster a culture of measurement based on key performance indicators (KPIs).

Responsibilities

  • Research, develop and execute strategies for Truist online channels to increase acquisition, retention, and deepen relationships with Truist's customers.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of consumer behavior models and user journeys as applied to banking products and services.
  • Increase product awareness, consideration, and acquisition by aligning consumer needs with Truist offerings throughout the consumer behavior process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to leverage integrated marketing programming and effective strategies that achieve measurable business objectives.
  • Effectively communicate with partners and proactively manage project work plans to meet deadlines.
  • Partner with Digital Commerce and LOB marketing to develop product-specific roadmaps to achieve LOB goals through digital marketing strategies.
  • Work with SEO teams to optimize the website and increase visibility within search engines.
  • Leverage web analytics and performance data to refine digital marketing strategies and improve conversion rates.
  • Maintain reporting capabilities to establish and track KPIs.
  • Stay current on changes in the digital environment and evaluate industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent education and related training.
  • Seven years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Deep specialized knowledge within the marketing discipline.
  • Sound understanding of business strategies and managing processes.
  • Ability to interpret business challenges and implement best practices.
  • Ability to lead complex projects and exercise independent judgment in solving challenges.
  • Sophisticated analytical skills to solve complex technical and business problems.
  • Ability to influence others to adopt new perspectives.
  • Knowledge of the competitive landscape and regulatory factors in the industry.

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree or MBA and previous experience in the mortgage/banking industry.
  • Experience developing digital marketing strategies that drive traffic and conversions.
  • Ability to apply agile marketing methodologies to large enterprise teams.
  • Ability to develop strategies that break long-term goals into short-term wins.
  • Working knowledge of American Disabilities Act compliance requirements.
  • Experience with Adobe products (AEP, AEM, Target, Analytics, Audience Manager, Adobe Cloud).
  • Understanding of API development, ad servers, dynamic tag managers, market automation platforms, content management systems, A/B testing, and personalization tools.
