About the position

The Digital Marketing Technology Specialist for Executive Education at the University of Chicago is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Marketo platform and ensuring data integrity. This role involves overseeing email programs, landing pages, and analytics, while also contributing to strategic marketing initiatives and supporting various marketing technology functions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with administration and ongoing maintenance of Executive Education's marketing technology, including Marketo.
  • Own and maintain Executive Education data quality and data cleansing processes in Marketo, including both auto and manual updates.
  • Manage the Marketo and Salesforce integration, resolving sync errors as necessary.
  • Partner with the Senior Digital Marketing Systems Administrator to design, develop and maintain critical marketing metrics to enable data-driven decisions; prepare and present regular program analytics to the marketing team and broader Executive Education team.
  • Build and maintain advanced/complex automation techniques in Marketo, including nurture programs, segmentation, and dynamic content setup.
  • Support the Senior Digital Marketing Systems Administrator with Account Based Marketing strategy and initiatives for the marketing, enrollment, and business development teams.
  • Support the Senior Digital Marketing Systems Administrator with systems upgrades and process-improvement tools research, initiatives and rollouts; vendor research and management.
  • Assist the marketing team with daily email program builds and day-to-day Marketo support; serve as Marketo subject matter expert; manage the marketing email calendar.
  • Develop and maintain systems training and resources; regularly meet with the marketing team to provide remote and in-person training as needed.
  • Assist the Senior Digital Marketing Systems Administrator with Sitecore (website) content updates; maintain order and organization of Executive Education's Sitecore workspace.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least three years of relevant marketing automation management experience required (Marketo or Marketing Cloud experience preferred).
  • At least three years of marketing experience preferred.
  • Account-based marketing experience preferred.
  • Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Sitecore experience preferred.
  • Google Analytics reporting experience preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to work well with multiple departments required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and knowledge of how to prioritize workflow required.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to and manage changes in daily workflow required.
  • Ability to manage and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment required.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills, as well as organizational skills required.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with marketing automation tools other than Marketo.
