About the position

Cumulus Media - Salt Lake City is seeking a talented and dynamic Digital Media Account Executive who thrives in a fast-paced working environment. We are looking for a passionate, motivated, goal-oriented, and highly competitive individual with a proven track record of over-achieving sales goals. In this role, you will be responsible for maximizing digital revenue opportunities by generating sales of digital products under the Cumulus Digital Marketing umbrella, which includes OTT, SEO/SEM, email marketing, geo-fencing and geo-targeting ads, TikTok, social media targeting, streaming, podcasts, video, and social media. The ideal candidate is someone who is digitally savvy, customer-focused, and has a desire to create integrated marketing campaigns for their clients. You will work directly with clients to understand their marketing challenges, architect solutions, communicate recommendations, and ensure successful campaign execution. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a full digital marketing team and five radio stations in the Salt Lake Metro area, reaching a million listeners weekly. You will be expected to identify client business needs, deliver effective multi-platform sales presentations, and maintain productive client communication to ensure satisfaction and success in meeting their business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Identify client business needs by understanding their goals, objectives, and external environment.
  • Develop customized digital advertising solutions to meet client objectives.
  • Deliver effective multi-platform, integrated sales presentations; negotiate and close sales.
  • Prospect and seek new clientele through networking, cold calling, and referrals to build a full pipeline of sales prospects.
  • Provide external campaign reporting to clients and ensure their business objectives are being met.
  • Follow all station and corporate procedures for preparing orders and resolving billing issues.
  • Submit regular reports regarding sales, pipeline lists, forecasts, and competitive analysis.
  • Stay abreast of the competitive digital landscape and emerging technologies to best position Cumulus in the marketplace.
  • Think creatively and generate original ideas for client campaigns.
  • Build and maintain lucrative client relationships.

Requirements

  • 1-3 years of successful digital sales experience required.
  • Strong understanding of lead generation and ability to connect with viable prospects.
  • Experience with online presence and digital advertising solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a strong ability to present sales opportunities to clients.
  • Positive attitude and passion for the job.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in media sales or digital marketing is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales reporting tools.
