About the position

Willow Creek Community Church is seeking a full-time Digital Media Content Creator who is passionate about filmmaking and creating engaging content for digital platforms. This role involves producing, capturing, and editing videos that help individuals grow in their faith and discover their next steps. The position is integral to the church's mission of spreading the love of God through effective storytelling and brand representation across various media channels.

Responsibilities

• Prepare all aspects of pre-production including researching video examples, creating mood boards, shot lists, and coordinating with talent and crew.
• Perform aspects of production such as directing talent, operating cameras, and capturing audio.
• Execute post-production tasks including editing footage, sourcing music, and mixing audio.
• Manage the Marcom Studio Space.

Requirements

• Skilled in capturing direct-to-camera videos with proper lighting and staging.
• Strong in coaching and directing on-camera talent.
• Ability to tell compelling stories in video format.
• Demonstrated creativity, process management, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Fluent in all steps of the cinematic process: pre-production, production, and post-production.
• Understanding of camera equipment and techniques for achieving shots.
• Knowledge of Canon C300/500 cameras or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of studio lighting and sound recording.
• Experience creating video for multiple social platforms.

Nice-to-haves

• Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
• Experience in making testimony/documentary-type videos and promotional videos.
